Signing in

The sign-in page has a tab for each way in: Password, Email link (we email you a link that signs you in, no password needed) and Google when it's available. They all lead to the same account as long as the email address is the same. Forgot password? is right under the password field. Creating an account works the same way: with a password, with an email link (your account is ready when you open it), or with Google. Once you're signed in, the sign-in and sign-up pages take you straight to the app.

Sign-in and sign-up forms run a quick automatic check that you're not a robot; the small box under the form says Verified when it's done, usually in under a second. There's nothing to click: if you send the form sooner, it waits for the check and then sends itself.

Email addresses with a "+" (like name+tag@example.com) can't be used for new accounts. Gmail ignores dots, so john.smith@gmail.com and johnsmith@gmail.com are the same inbox and the same Qwirl account.

Your plan

The Plan part of Account shows your plan, how many QR codes are active and how much image storage you've used, out of what the plan allows. The free plan has 3 active codes, 5 items per code and 100 MB of images. Deleting an image frees its space (deleting an item or a logo does too, unless the image is used elsewhere).

Your images

Images in the sidebar lists every image you uploaded, where each one is used and how much storage they take. See Images.

Change your details

In Account you can change your name, email address and password. A new email address only takes effect after you confirm it from that inbox. If you signed up with Google or an email link, you can add a password there too.

Country

In Account, choose your country from the list, or Not set. It's optional and only admins see it. A new account starts with a guess from your browser's language settings.

Your review

Under Your review in Account, rate Ease of use and Design from 1 to 5 stars and, if you like, write a few words. Tick Qwirl may show my review on its website if we may show it on the homepage, with your first name and the first letter of your last name. We choose which reviews to show. If your review is on the homepage and you change it or untick the permission, it comes off until we look at it again. You can change it any time.

Feedback

Something not working, or an idea? Choose Feedback in the sidebar, pick Problem, Idea or Other, and write your message. With Include page details on, it also sends the page you're on and how it looked (window size, theme, browser, any errors), so we can understand it without asking back. Open What is sent to see exactly what goes with it.

Company

If you use Qwirl for a business, add its details under Company in Account: company name, tax ID (VAT number), registration number, address, city, postal code and country. It's all optional; only you and admins see it. The company name is needed once you fill in any other field; clear all the fields and save to remove them.

Language

Qwirl is available in English, Romanian and German. Change it at the bottom of the sidebar or the site footer. Emails from Qwirl use the language you chose. The website's pages have their own address in each language (for example /ro/ghiduri for the Romanian guides), so a link you share opens in its language; after you choose a language, the website takes you to its pages in that language.

Light or dark

Next to the language, or in Account, choose System (follows your device), Light or Dark. Signed in, it's saved on your account and follows you to every device; without an account, this browser remembers it. Scan pages set to Auto colors follow it too.

Colors

In Account, Colors changes the look of the app: Coral, Ink, Navy or Ocean. It's saved on your account. Your QR codes' scan pages keep their own look.

Back up your QR codes

In Account, Download all QR codes saves every code in one file. See Import and export.

Cookies

Qwirl always uses the cookies it needs (to keep you signed in and remember your choices). Google Analytics, which shows us how the site is used, only runs if you choose Accept analytics in the cookie notice, and never on QR scan pages. Visits are also counted by Umami, which runs on our own server, sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device (not on QR scan pages either). Change your choice any time with Cookie settings in the site footer or in Account. See the Privacy policy.

Delete your account

At the bottom of Account. This permanently deletes your QR codes, items, images, stats and connected channels. Printed codes stop working. It can't be undone.
