Items, rarity and odds

The Items page
Open Items in the code's menu, or the list icon next to the code in the sidebar. Add an item with the Text, Link, Image, Video or Prize buttons; each type has its own color, so the list reads at a glance. Each row shows the item's type, rarity and chance, and these buttons:
- Star: make it the default item (when Random result is off).
- Eye: turn it on or off without deleting it.
- Pencil: edit it.
- Copy: duplicate it (see below).
- Bin: delete it.
On a phone, the buttons sit on their own line under each item.
Random or always the same
Use the Random result switch on the code's Settings page, in Random result and odds, together with the rarity odds. See Settings.
- Random result on: each scan picks one active item.
- Random result off: every scan shows the default item. If you haven't chosen one, the oldest active item is used. Visitors can then use Previous and Next to step through the other active items, in the order of your list.
Turning an item off hides it from scans without deleting it.
Prize items aren't part of this draw: every scan first tries for a prize, and only scans that didn't win show one of your items. See Prizes.
Rarity
Every item is Common, Rare or Legendary. A scan first picks a rarity tier, then an item inside that tier.
The item editor shows Rarity and Weight only while Random result is on. When it's off, they're kept as they were, ready for when you turn it back on.
The odds (on the code's Settings page) set the chance of each tier, in percent. The default is 70% common, 25% rare and 5% legendary. Tiers with no active items are skipped, and the others are scaled up to fill the gap.
With Show rarity badge on, rare and legendary results get a badge on the scan page.
Weight
Inside a tier, weight sets how often an item comes up compared with the others. Weight 3 shows up three times as often as weight 1. Weight 0 never shows.
Example
One special item for about 1 in 20 scans: put it in Legendary with 5% odds and everything else in Common. Leave Rare empty and its share goes to the other tiers.
To give something away (a code, a discount, a gift), use a Prize item instead: it has its own chance, see Prizes.
Copy an item
The copy button next to an item makes a duplicate in the same QR code, image included. A copied prize keeps how it's won and its design, but starts with no prizes and a fresh count: codes are never copied, so each one still goes to one person only.
Schedule
Open Schedule in the item editor (it shows "No time limit", or when the item starts or ends). Give an item a start and/or end time and it only joins scans in that window, for example a prize that appears at 20:00 during a stream. Outside the window it's left out, as if it were off. Times are in your own time zone. The item list shows when a scheduled item starts or ends.
Layout
Images and videos can show in a card or wide (full width): pick one of the two small pictures in the item editor. A title, if you add one, appears above them.
Videos
Paste a YouTube or Twitch link: a video, a clip or a channel. You can choose controls, autoplay, mute, loop and a start time. Most browsers only autoplay muted videos.
Limits
Your plan sets how many items one code can have and how much image storage you get.
